ISG Learns Fall
Conference 2023
The second annual professional develop-
ment conference at ISG is the ISG Learns
Fall Conference, which is held in Novem-
ber. At the November 2023 conference,
consultant Ivy Yan was invited to deliver
a plenary and several workshops on how
to unlock compassion through the head,
hand and heart using scientific research
that connects compassionate action to
acceptance, inclusion and respect.
This was followed by 26 workshops de-
livered by ISG staff from across the dis-
trict on topics related to positive psy-
chology, technology, assessment, global
languages and more. These workshops
aimed to increase staff capacity and im-
prove student outcomes through the lens
of compassionate action.
