Social Studies
Throughout the year, the social studies curricu-
lum planning team focused on several key are-
as to enhance the curriculum at ISG. They revis-
ited and refined the curriculum review process
ensuring alignment with priority standards. The
team discussed and revised the initial units of
the social studies curriculum and crafted unit
plans for the remaining units. Additionally, they
addressed the need for new materials and
professional development opportunities. While
reviewing the scope and sequence document,
they reflected on the past year's successes and
challenges to improve their approach and en-
sure comprehensive topic coverage. They also
explored various online platforms to support
the curriculum.
Physical Education
Throughout the 2023-24 school year, the physi-
cal education (PE) curriculum planning team
engaged in in-depth discussions and revisions.
The meetings included evaluating additional
needs such as materials and professional de-
velopment opportunities. They also reviewed
the successes and challenges of the past year
and reviewed assessment and reporting across
the British and American divisions.
Visual and Performing Arts
The arts curriculum planning team at ISG had a
productive year focusing on several key areas
to enhance the visual and performing arts pro-
gram across all ISG schools. They articulated
the diverse offerings available to students and
organized the annual arts festivals by explor-
ing various options, setting dates and planning
content. To provide a comprehensive and en-
riching arts education for all students, the team
also clarified the resources and supplies need-
ed and planned the performance calendars for
all school divisions.
